Ricky Hatton meets the bad boys at Burnage Media Arts College
On Tuesday 2nd October seven boys from Burnage Amateur Boxing club - Showzad Ali, Bilal Ahmed, Irfan Hussain, Imran Ali, Nazmul Ali, Omar Ghulam and Ali Massoum - attended a personal training session with Ricky Hatton and Manchester City’s Micah Richards. Based at the Betterbodies weightlifting club, Hyde, Ricky’s gym saw the boys experience a variety of activities including circuit training and road work. They also received nutritional advice from the Club’s owner – the only nutritionist fully approved by the ABA. Ricky Hatton himself gave them personal training on the pads and treated them to a further display of pad work with Micah Richards. All in all it was an exciting and instructional day for all concerned. TV cameras were on hand to record the action, shown on Football Focus on Saturday morning, 5th October 2007.
